WORKSHOPS

Upon request we present workshops at schools, youth leagues, churches/synagogues, community organizations, and in the workplace. Popular topics include:

  • Student Success is a Team Effort:

For parents and families interested in mastering the fundamentals of the college search process. This 45-60 minute session focuses on the keys to creating a successful college search process.

  • The college mindset:

Our signature workshop based on lessons learned through the work and research completed over 30+ years of studying and working with thousands of college students and their parents.

  • Financial planning for college and financial aid in college:

Come learn what you need to know, what you need to do, and what opportunities are available for families and students who are planning for college and don’t happen to be independently wealthy!

  • Student safety in high school and college:

“Is this campus safe?” It may be the most common question asked by parents at college orientation. We’ll review concerns, perceptions, attitudes, and opportunities to help your student make smart choices and minimize risk.

  • The Myers-Briggs Type Inventory (for individuals, families, or workgroups):

A self-reporting questionnaire to indicate preferences in how people perceive the world around them and make decisions.

My parents were the ones who thought I needed a college counselor but I wasn’t sure. Then I met Jeff and Denise and I immediately knew they would help me find the perfect place. I’m now in my sophomore year at college and I still make use of the tools I learned from them.
